摘要
The results of investigations on mechanical properties of basalt fibers and basalt fiber based composites and their resistance to aggressive media are presented. Basalt fibers demonstrate strength similar to E-glass with elasticity modulus close to S-glass fibers. The specific features of adhesive properties of basalt rovings is described. Basalt fiber based composites demonstrate higher aggressive media resistance and mechanical properties compared to glass fiber based due to better fiber properties realisation.
