On the preconditioning of finite volume schemes

摘要
Preconditioning is known to enhance the accuracy of finite volume schemes for steady-state subsonic flows. The aim of this paper is to precise the benefits obtained by preconditioning, namely a precision which is independent of the Mach number, a reduced grid sensitivity, and an improved processing of the source terms. Time accurate transient computations are also possible thanks to an implicit time-stepping.
