摘要：

The purpose of this research article is to provide some reference values for future retrieval research on English and Chinese cross-language information retrieval based on the data from WOS and CNKI. Based on the English and Chinese cross-language information retrieval results, a comparative study is introduced and a number of relevant papers in English cross-language retrieval from domestic and international institutes were significantly analysed, the high-impact papers were studied using its content. This study summarized the current research focus and research efforts on the basis of the introduction to the status in English and Chinese cross-language information retrieval research at home and abroad, finally it combed the methods of English and Chinese cross-language information retrieval and the main problems to be solved and provide a reference for further in-depth study.
