摘要
The paper analyses the innovation system of the food industry in Germany. After an overview about the theoretical framework, knowledge generation in research organisations, the financing of such activities as well as the development of scientific knowledge with relevance for the food industry is investigated in detail followed by an analysis of the structure and innovation activities of industrial companies. Specific emphasis is laid on interactions between the different actor groups. In addition, the political and legal framework as well as food demand in Germany are analysed. The paper finalises with some conclusions for policy, industry and other actors. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
