摘要
To protect Chinese ancient buildings, damages of Chinese ancient wooden buildings caused by Wenchuan earthquake as well as their strengthening techniques were studied in this paper.According to survey data, damage symptoms such as basement destruction, column root displacement, column incline, tenon pulled out of mortise, decoration member damage, roof truss incline, tile drop down, filler wall collapse and so on were summarized. Then by analyzing main causes for damage of Chinese ancient wooden buildings were obtained:the over strong seismic forces, lacking remedy in time, construction problems, weak strength of filler material and so on.According to symptoms of Chinese ancient wooden buildings, strengthening techniques such as Dun-Jie,gluing, iron band connection, additional supports, pour strengthening,FRP strengthening and so on were put up.Finally Da-Xiong Palace in Sichuan province was taken as an example for aseismic analysis. Results show that in order to improve aseismic capability of Chinese ancient wooden buildings, more efforts are needed to maintain as well as retrofit them by different techniques to avoid any incipient fault, which will lead to least structural damages under earthquake.
