摘要
A convenient and efficient protocol for the oxidation of secondary hydroxyl group to ketone using hydrogen peroxide-urea adduct and catalytic (CF3SO3)(3)La in ionic liquid has been developed. A number of 1,2-diols, -hydroxyketones, and other aromatic and aliphatic secondary alcohols have been successfully oxidized to the corresponding ketones using this protocol in good yields and short reaction times.
