摘要
One of the EU challenges is to reduce the risk of poverty or social exclusion of children because up to 28% of children under 18 years are exposed to this risk, which represents a threat for the future. Every child is born with a unique set of genes that predisposes him/her to a better or worse position in society, and it significantly affects the parents. The aim of the paper is to characterize the degree of risk of child poverty or social exclusion in the EU Member States and assess the impact of public spending on family benefits to reduce poverty or social exclusion of children. The integrated strategy and a package of social investment can contribute to a reduction of child poverty and social exclusion.
