Behavior and mechanism of the extraction of Platinum(IV) with cyclic sulfoxide derivative-OTMSO

摘要
The behavior and mechanism of platinum (W) extraction with alpha-octyl-tetrahydrothiophene-1-oxide (OTMSO) were investigated. The extraction efficiency increases with the increasing concentration of OTMSO and hydrochloric acidity. The reaction of extracting platinum(IV) is exothermic. The effect of C-OTMSO, CH+ and CCl- on the distribution ratio were studied. It is indicated that the coordination number is 2 and the effect of the hydrogen ion concentration on the distribution ratio is strong, while the effect of the concentration of chloride ion on the distribution ratio is negligible. FT-IR spectroscopy was used to determine the atomic coordination. The reaction of extracting platinum(IV) is acid association extraction in higher acidity, the inter coordination transfer in the complex occurs. The composition of complex is (H(+.)h(1)H(2)P.OTMSO)(2)PtCl62- in which the platinum is coordinated with S atom in >S=O group.
