Inner-shell ionization of atoms by charged particles in the distortion approximation

摘要
The inner-shell ionization cross sections by charged-particle impact have been calculated in the distortion approximation. A finite-basis-set variational approach is used to solve the Schrodinger or Dirac equation for atomic potentials. The obtained atomic orbitals and pseudostates are employed to calculate the inner-shell ionization cross sections. The results are compared with the experimental data and other theoretical calculations.
