A review of the genus Oenopia Mulsant (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) of the Indian subcontinent, with description of a new species

Species of Oenopia Mulsant from the Indian subcontinent are reviewed. Oenopia adelgivora, sp. nov. from Sikkim is described. Adalia indica Crotch and Coccinella transgressa Mulsant are synonymised with Oenopia billeti (Mulsant), and Adalia m-fuscum Mulsant with A. decempunctata (Linnaeus.). The habitus of all the known species and the male and female genitalia of 10 and 8 species, respectively, are illustrated. A key to the species of the region is given, along with distribution and host records.
