A 36-year-old male patient receiving medical treatment with the preliminary diagnosis of pulmonary embolism was admitted with the complaint of hemoptysis. Thoracic magnetic resonance imaging and angiographic computed tomography revealed possible cystic lesions in the right pulmonary artery and bronchiectasis in the lower lobe. There was no finding related with intracardiac hydatid cyst in echocardiography. A right thoracotomy and lower lobectomy was applied. Gross examination of the tissue specimen revealed a hydatid cyst located in the pulmonary artery. We present this case as intraarterial hydatid cyst is extremely rare without any cardiac or hepatic involvement.
