摘要：

The article is devoted to the historical aspects, causes and significance of China's global political and economic initiative "One Belt, One Road". The need to ensure sustainable socio-economic development, overcome the uneven development between China's regions and establish closer ties between Chinese provinces and foreign countries led to the emergence of a new initiative. The PRC leadership is making a lot of efforts to promote and popularize the initiative.
