Research on China's Rural Collective Land Ownership

Researchers in China have done deep research on the rural land system based on the right of ownership and the right to use the land. However, there are still many deficiencies and malpractices in this system, of which the ownership of the rural land is considered the basis for further research. Ownership of the rural land should be regarded as the focus of the whole land system. To make the ownership clear would help motivate the full use of the limited land. On the basis of the legislative deficiencies and the nature of mutual help and cooperation in China's rural areas, this paper analyzes the existing problems briefly and explores the possibilities of improving the use of the rural land under the current market economy system.
