摘要
This paper is a brief study on simulation of cutting and cold forming titanium parts. The simulations were made using specialized software, DEFORM 2D, which works based on finite elements method. The studied material was the reference titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V and the cutting conditions were chosen by recommendations of specialists in titanium manufacturing. After brief presentation of specific manufacturing conditions simulation, some examples are presented. As well, the results of the software simulation are presented. The paper ends with some general conclusions.
