摘要：
A re-engineering of part of the Northern Cross radiotelescope for concepts verifications and technology developments for a next generation radiotelescope (SKA, Square Kilometre Array) is here described. Such a re-instrumentation could produce a SKA demonstrator at a low cost and it might be ready to operate late 2007. (c) 2006 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
