Synthesis and properties of polyimides derived from 2-diphenyl methoxy-4,6-diamino-1,3,5-triazine and aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydrides

摘要
The novel diamine 2-diphenylmethoxy-4,6-diamino-1,3,5-triazine (DMDAT) was synthesized and used to prepare polyimides. DMDAT was synthesized through the nucleophilic displacement of diphenyl methanol with 2-chloro-4,6-diamino-1,3,5-triazine in the presence of K2CO3 followed by catalytic reduction. Polyimides were prepared from DMDAT and various aromatic letracarboxylic dianhydrides by the usual two-step procedure that included ring-opening polyaddition to give poly(amic acid)s followed by cyclodehydration to polyimides. Most of the polyimides formed tough, creasible films. These polyimides had glass transition temperatures between 220 and 280 degrees C and their 10% weight loss temperatures were recorded in the range 490-580 degrees C in nitrogen atmosphere.
