A parametric study on vibrating clamped elliptical plates with variable thickness

摘要
The moment method and the Rayleigh-Ritz method were used to examine the effect of parabolic variation of thickness on the frequency parameter of clamped elliptic plates. The methods were used to calculate the fundamental frequencies of clamped elliptical plates with constant thickness for aspect ratios up to 0.1. The thickness function was assumed to be of parabolic variation in the analysis. The results obtained were comparable with those in the literature for a variety of aspect ratios.
