摘要
Cuminum cyminum L. is comprised of several relevant species for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Gas chromatography-mass spectrophotometry analysis revealed thymol as a major component of C. cyminum, with its contribution to the oil 40.05%, respectively. The C. cyminum oil revealed the highest antioxidant activity in all conducted assays (-carotene bleaching test and reducing power). These results clearly showed the antioxidant effects of the C. cyminum essential oil.
