Placentary index in preeclampsia during the third trimester of pregnancy: fetal hemodynamic profile

Objective: To quantify the placental index by means of the registry weight newborn and placental coming from those pregnant ones that was studied by means of ultrasonografic Doppler fetal. Method: A retrospective study of Cohorts is realized: where 56 pregnant that went to the Service of Maternity of the Hospitable city "Dr. Enrique Tejera" during the year 1996 in which clinical history was reviewed. Two groups of pregnant reviewed themselves to which Doppler study was realized to them ultrasonografic. Results: The pregnant ones that presented/displayed an index between 0.09 and 0,14; they registered in its majority an altered FHP, whereas those whose FHP was normal presented/displayed a placental index that oscillated between 0.15 and 0.20. Conclusion: The ecoplacentometric study would have to be considered of more diligent way in the obstetrical ultrasonografic studies, since the same could be constituted in a useful parameter in the estimation of the fetal health.
