摘要
The first months of 2008 were a busy and productive period for the CNGS facility. An ambitious and demanding project aimed to the protection of electronics against radiation has been devised and carried out in a very short time. Meanwhile, the Earth magnetic field has been singled out as the responsible of the asymmetry observed in the muon pits profiles when switching from neutrino to anti-neutrino mode. The facility ran smoothly from June 18(th) to November 3(rd) 2008 delivering almost 2.0.10(19) protons on target (p.o.t.)
