摘要
Amounts of wear debris generated in cold rolling of aluminum were experimentally measured and the following results were obtained by detailed investigation of those wear debris amounts: (1) The new equation was proposed to calculate the total slip distance between the work roll and the aluminum material, namely, "sliding friction distance". This equation was applicable to the case where the forward slip ratio was negative. (2) The amounts of wear debris generation were well related to the magnitude of sliding distance between the work roll and the aluminum material, but not by the degree of intimate metallic contact between them. This means that the mechanism of wear debris generation could be explained by the above proposed equation.
