Reactions of the μ3-sulfido dicobalt-iron cluster (μ3-S)FeCo2(CO)9 with triphenylphosphine or 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane

摘要
Reaction of (mu(3)-S)FeCo2(CO)(9) (A) with PPh3 at room temperature in CH2Cl2 gave mu(3)-sulfido dicobalt-iron clusters (mu(3)-S)FeCo2(CO)(8)(PPh3) (1) and (mu(3)-S)FeCo2(CO)(7)(PPh3)(2) (2) in 37 and 54% yields, whereas reaction of A with 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane (Ph2PCH2CH2CH2CH2PPh2, dppb) afforded [(mu(3)-S)FeCo2(CO)(8)](2)(Ph2PCH2CH2CH2CH2PPh2) (3) in 49% yield. Complexes 1-3 were characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopy, and for 1 and 3 by X-ray crystallography.
