摘要
The objective of this work is to evaluate the position of young people on the labour market, focusing on the NUTS2 regions of the Visegrad Group countries. The main deployed method consists of a calculation of the multi-criterion indicator, which is a component of five sub-indicators: early termination of education and practical training, people outside of employment and practical training, employment rate, rates of unemployment of the young, and weekly full-time worked hours, for which there are available data about the analyzed age group in the Eurostat database for the required time periods. Today's young people representing "Generation Y" on the market are struggling with specific problems stemming from the characteristic features of their nature. From the point of view of the situation in individual NUTS2 regions of the Visegrad Group, it is possible to state that the best situation is in the Czech Republic. Poland, Hungary and Slovakia show a very similar situation where it is possible to observe a considerable territorial diversification if the levels of individual regions. The worst situation is in those regions of Poland, Hungary and Slovakia that have a common border with Ukraine, and in the Polish coastal region of Warminsko-mazurskie.
