摘要
To reduce energy consumption, a novel motor system is proposed using two individual current control technologies involving a multiphase inverter. The multiphase inverter technology comprises two sets of 3-phase windings connecting two 3-phase inverters. Each set of coils connecting the 3-phase inverters forms a rotating field. Two windings allow the resultant field to generate a rotating field of eight or four poles. Motor systems capable of changing their poles and phases are more efficient over a wider range of speeds. Results from simulations confirmed that the phase change of a motor using such controls yields a difference in torque-slip characteristics and a 28% reduction in torque ripple.
