Properties and applications of unsaturated polyester resins produced by the Polifarb Becker Debica SA (promotion paper)

The four commercial grades of UPR produced by the Polifarb Becker Debica SA include: D-1104P (used to make organic concrete), D-1103N and D-1103R (used to make garden gnoms and decorative figures), and D-1101RN (used to make resin-containing charges applied in the mining industry). Each UPR grade shows good processing properties (satisfactory solubility in styrene, low acid value, high reactivity; cf. Table 1) and, after having been cured, good thermal resistance and satisfactory mechanical properties (Table 2).
