摘要：

A female Common Elder (Somateria mollissima) was observed on a hatching clutch of Gadwall (Anas strepera) eggs on an island in the Bay of Fundy. This aberrant behaviour may have been related to elder egg predation by gulls, rates of which had been increased by human activity on the island.
