摘要
Nowadays most of teachers regard school trips as one of the most important forms of work with the students. Teachers put them in a hierarchy of importance and usefulness of the methods of education and upbringing shortly behind the classic school lesson: Does forest education fulfil its established task and how "forest" - as the greatest gift of nature - can educate the young society? From the analysis of interviews and observations conducted among the employees of The National State Forests, selected teachers and pupils of the Great Poland Region (case study), it appears that the "subject trips", understood as lessons in the open field are one of the most appreciated forms of school trips. Moreover, forest education of society is one of the priorities of the National State Forests. To know and understand the forest, it is not enough just to read about it or see it in photographs; one has to see, touch and hear it. Therefore, it is important to conduct education in the field. In the regional scale, Polish forests and nature education provides tangible results. Most people using educational facilities are school groups. The territory of Great Poland, Poznan county is characterized by activity in the country (the most visited). Despite the growing interest, still not all teachers - take on the organization of these activities.
