摘要：

Intermittent duty electrical drives are often encountered in military devices. Depending on the drive function, the motor may run for one or several seconds. One possible choice of motor for such a drive is dc series motor with mechanical commutator. These motors are very well suited to pulse (intermittent) duty. However, a major drawback is sparking occurring at large current overloads. Alternatively, these drives may be equipped with BLDC (brushless dc) motors, characterised by high efficiency, high power density and torque overload capacity resulting in high operational dynamics.
