摘要
This article presents a generalized design scheme for 5G massive MIMO channel emulation. The scalable architecture allows for the emulation of large scale antenna array channels by utilizing 2 3 2 core emulation module. This design features linear computational complexity increase with antenna number at fixed throughput on each channel interface, which makes it possible to apply in wideband millimeterwave (mmWave) band. This design methodology is first discussed in detail. The prototype module is then implemented and the resource cost, as well as relative error, is analyzed. Finally, an experimental evaluation based on this scheme is carried out within laboratory environment and the throughput performance are investigated and compared. (C) 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
