摘要
The paper presents an ongoing research project which main purpose is to develop a simulation platform for the analysis of Assembly/Disassembly (A/D) processes. This tool will offer the designers the possibility to automatically identify components contacts in a mechanical system, to compute the mobility of a component form an assembly and to determine the best sequence of mounting/dismounting of a product. In order to achieve this goal, in the first stage of the project, several of the most used CAD and CAE software are analysed for comparing their specific tools for defining constraints, contacts or connections between components. The result of this analysis is used for proposing new functions and tools, not available in the analyzed software, which will help simulating all the possible relative movements between components in a mechanical system (assembly).
