摘要：
Performance and reliability of driver assistance systems is notably determined by the perception and scenario interpretation capability of their sensors. This contribution describes the potential of millimeter-wave radar for this task, introduces the prototypic realization of an imaging radar, and discusses its possible fields of application based on practical test results.
