Numerical modeling of tooth response to laser pulse irradiation

摘要
We derived an expression for the absorption coefficient of dental tissue that considers the effect of the energy absorbed during single pulse. We complemented the mathematical model that describes the thermal distribution in tooth. We used this model to simulate dental tissue ablation with Er:YAG laser. Good agreement between the simulated predictions and the published experimental results is found for low values of fluence, less than 100 J/cm(2).
