摘要：

The aim of the study was analysis of the effects of substitute therapy on the quality of life of patients suffering from hemophilia A. Results. Preventive protocol of substitute therapy was more effective than treatment in case of hemorrhages. The most significant criteria of efficiency were: more than 3-fold shorter hospital stay and 25% reduction of the number of patients whom hospitalisation was required. Preventive protocols should be evaluated not only by the economic factors, but also by the clinical effect - improvement of the patient's quality of life.
