摘要
The equivalent dipolar method commonly used in potential field data reduction is restricted to deal with mass data because of its difficulty in solving a large-scale higher order Fredholm integral equation. This paper reports a wavelet compression algorithm to accomplish the compression and order depression of the Fredholm equation. The number of equivalent dipoles and their laying depths are also discussed by spherical modeling test. This technique is finally applied in gravity data reduction of a certain oilfield in Southern China with good geological indications.
