摘要
Purpose: To investigate the correlation between serum levels of CD64, CD54, soluble myeloid cell trigger receptor-1 (sTREM-1), inflammatory factors and acute phase proteins in patients with bacterial pneumonia (BP). Methods: A total of 198 patients were recruited over a period of 2 years for this study and randomly assigned to two groups: control group (95 healthy patients) and observation group (103 patients with BP). The control group consisted of 52 males and 51 females aged 62 to 84 years (mean age = 71.07 +/- 5.15 years), while the observation group consisted of 46 males and 49 females aged 61 to 83 years (mean age = 70.92 +/- 5.78 years). The serum levels of CD64, CD54, sTREM-1, immunoglobulin A (IgA), IgG, IgM, interleukin-2 (1L-2), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor a (TNF alpha), and the acute phase proteins al acid glycoprotein (alpha 1 -AGP), copper-protein (CP), C-reactive protein (CRP), and haptoglobin (HP) were determined in the patient's serum. The correlation between these parameters was also determined. Results: The expression levels of CD64, CD54 and sTREM-1 were significantly higher in observation group than in control group (p<0.05). The levels of IL-2, IL-6 and TNF-alpha were significantly higher in the observation group than in control group (p<0.05), and alpha 1-AGP, CP, CRP and HP levels were significantly higher in the observation group than in control group (p<0.05). The levels of IgA, IgG and IgM were also significantly higher in the observation group than in control group (p<0.05), and CD64, CD54 and sTREM-1 expressions in the serum of elderly BP patients were positively correlated with the levels of IL-2, IL-6, TNF-alpha, alpha 1-AGP, CP, CRP, IgA, IgG and IgM (p<0.05). Correlation analysis showed that CD64, sTREM-1 and TNF-alpha appeared more sensitive and specific than CD54, IL-2, and 1L-6 in the diagnosis of BP (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results obtained in this study have shown that serum CD64, CD54, sTREM-1, IL-2, IL-6 and TNF alpha serve as sensitive indicators for the diagnosis and assessment of the severity of BP.
