摘要：

This study deals with the presence and historic evolution of corporate nobility in the province of the so-called Saint Kingdom, Jaen, focussing on Andalusian Fraternities (Cofradias and Hermandades) in medieval times. A special emphasis is put on those fraternities that attempted to raise and recover the training in arms and equestrian arts, including those that had a short live and could not conclude their project. The paper describes the concept and institution of corporate nobility as well as the main medieval noble fraternities, with particular focus on those with a remarkable presence in Jaen. An annex with bibliographic references is attached.
