Diamagnetic susceptibility of low-lying states of a donor impurity in a core shell GaAs/Al1-xGaxAs quantum dot

摘要
The Diamagnetic Susceptibility of a donor in the 1 s and 2 s states are computed for a GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs core shell Quantum Dot in the effective mass approximation using the variational method. The effect of shell thickness, Al concentration and size of the dot on Diamagnetic Susceptibility is studied. The calculations shows the sensitivity of the binding energy and chi dia values to the shell thickness which can lead to fine tuning of energy bands. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
