The region of the dominant mode stability for a waveguide quasi-optical resonator

摘要
A new technique is developed for calculating eigenmodes of a waveguide quasi-optical resonator (WQR) with a rectangular waveguide. Application of this technique is illustrated by a series of numerical results. The influence of the Talbot effect on the eigenmode properties reveals, in certain cases, a simple coupling between the WQR eigenmodes and eigenmodes of a two-mirror resonator with a diaphragm in the middle plane. The domain of parameters that specify the system geometry is determined in which the dominant mode is isolated.
