摘要：

Sixty nine presenile and senile patients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA) have received iron salt preparation (sorbifer) or a hydroxydepolymaltose iron complex (maltofer fol). The drugs showed high efficacy in aged patients with IDA both in a complete basic course and as rehabilitation ferrotherapy. The treatment normalized hemogram parameters and content of serum ferritin. Tolerance to maltofer fol was good as its side effects were minimal, especially in aged patients with gastrointestinal diseases.
