摘要
The process of nucleus formation is studied in an electrochemical system containing silver and mercury ions and the nucleation rate of silver-mercury alloy clusters is measured under potentiostatic conditions. A method to determine the size and the composition of critical alloy nuclei by studying the potential and the concentration dependence of the stationary nucleation rate is proposed.
