Influence of the ageing and plastic deformation on temperature dependence of internal friction

摘要
In this paper, the influence of the ageing and plastic deformation on temperature dependence of internal friction of low carbon ferritic steel is presented. The plastic deformation caused an increase of the dislocation-enhanced Snoek maximum (DESE). However, after an overcritical degree of plastic deformation, a decrease of the DESE maximum was observed. The same effect, but without plastic deformation, was observed after heating samples to 270 degrees C, when the DESE maximum was decreasing. From these data we can conclude that the overcritical deformation and temperature over 270 degrees C caused a decrease of the DESE maximum, which is connected with a breakdown of oversaturated solid solutions of C and N in alpha-Fe.
