摘要
Three new bis(pyrrol-2-yl-methyleneamine) ligands 5-7 were synthesized in high yields via condensation of diamines 2-4 with two equivalents of 2-formyl-pyrrole 1. Compounds 5-7, which absorb UV light between 352 and 354 nm in THF without fluorescence, display obvious fluorescence with excitation between 400 and 413 nm and emission between 503 and 5 10 nm upon complexation with Zn2+. Based on its fluorescent properties and selectivity toward different metal ions, ligand 5 is a very promising fluorescent materials for a zinc ion sensor. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
