Simulation of measurement of mutual parameters of symmetric transmission line

摘要
Transmission lines are applied to connect different blocks of computer and communication systems and circuits. At high frequencies of operation the lines radiate significant levels of energy related to the common-mode wave component. The other common mode signals, from external sources, can interfere with the signals transmitted through the lines. It is highly desirable to model and measure the effects of interference in order to predict the behavior of the systems that include transmission lines. One of the most economical and relatively immune to interference transmission lines is a symmetric pair of conductors usually located in a close proximity to metal planes of different system blocks. The paper addresses computer modeling of an experiment that has led to determination of mutual inductance and mutual capacitance of the symmetric transmission lines.
