摘要
The structure and composition of (18-crown-6)center dot NH4F center dot 3H(2)O hydrate were determined from single crystal XRD data at 173 K. The compound is monoclinic P2(1)/n with unit cell parameters a = 11.913(1) angstrom, b = 7.928(1) angstrom, c = 20.679(3) angstrom; P = 105.14(1)degrees. The ammonium cation is included in the crown-ether and forms three hydrogen bonds to oxygen atoms. The water molecules and the fluorine ions connected by hydrogen bonds form chains consisting of square faces and running parallel to the b axis of the crystal.
