摘要
We report effect of blending of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) on the properties of a gel polymer electrolyte system comprising poly(vinylidinefluoride-hexafluoropropyline) (PVdF-HFP) and a non-aqueous liquid electrolyte of sodium trifluoromethanesulfonate (NaCF3SO3) in a binary mixture of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate. The effect of compositional variation of PMMA in the gel polymer electrolyte system has been investigated using x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, complex impedance spectroscopy, linear sweep voltammetry, and ion transport number measurement. The ionic conductivity of the system increases with PMMA concentration and PVdF-HFP/PMMA blend based gel polymer electrolyte membrane offers optimum ionic conductivity of similar to 7.5 x 10(-4) S cm(-1) at room temperature. The ionic conductivity enhancement has been supported by scanning electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction studies. The optimized electrolyte composition has sufficiently large electrochemical stability window of similar to 3.6 V. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
