摘要
The present investigation concerns super high solids coatings composed of a silicone polymer containing SiH groups in combination with C=C containing polymers such as acrylic or polyether. Acrylic Polymers have been obtained by free radical polymerization of a monomer having an alkenyl group and other vinyl monomers. Also, the silicone polymer has been prepared by the equilibrium reaction of SiH containing polysiloxane and other polysiloxanes in the presence of sulfuric acid. They were very compatible. The clear paints made with these polymers had low VOC, and the cured film formed by the hydrosilylation reaction had superior acid resistance and heat resistance compared with the conventional acrylic/melamine system.
