摘要
It has been hypothesized that the antioxidant properties of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) may be important in maintaining normal endothelial function.(1) Several in vivo studies support the hypothesis that HDL may influence endothelial function by antagonizing low-density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation. It has been observed that HDL cholesterol levels may influence endothelium-dependent vasodilation in healthy subjects.(1,2) To our knowledge, no data are available on the role of HDL on endothelial function in patients with high levels of other lipoprotein fractions. In the present study, we evaluated the hypothesis of a protective role of HDL on the endothelial function in subjects with hyperlipemia.
