Design for Improvement of Torque-Thrust Characteristic in Simultaneous Drive in Two-Degree-of-Freedom Electromagnetic Actuator

摘要
Recently, the demand of two-degree-of-freedom mechanism rises as performance of electric machines improved. authors have already developed Two-Degree-of-Freedom Electromagnetic Actuator which is possible to drive in both axial and rotary direction. However, the performance in driving at the same time linear motion and rotation is lowered by magnetic saturation in the stator. In this paper, the performance in simultaneous drive is improved by reduction of magnetic saturation with change of the shape of the stator. Moreover, skew is applied to reduce cogging torque that is increased by redesign. In addition, effectiveness of the proposed model is confirmed with Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis and experiment. As a result, linear ratio is increased from 57.9% to 74.7% and drive area is increased by 16.3%.
