Light-induced thermal crystallization of amorphous Se70Te30-xSbx

摘要：

Isothermal phase transformation of a-Se70Te30-xSbx (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 8) in presence and absence of light illumination has been carried out at various temperatures (T-g < T < T-m). The method of change in electrical conductivity has been applied to investigate the effect of illumination on the crystallization of the above glassy alloys. It has been observed that light illumination enhances the rate of crystallization as compared to pure thermal effect. The activation energy (Delta E) of crystallization and order parameter have been calculated using Avrami's equation for isothermal transformation. It has been found that Delta E is independent of the presence or absence of light illumination.
