An AHP-GTMA Method-based Approach to Machine Tool Selection

摘要
Computer numerical control machine (CNC) has been an important machinery tool, the industrial organizations are now forced to focus more on increasing productivity while decreasing cost by right selection of machine tools. To proper selection of machine tool advantages is labor saving, improved product quality and increased productivity with enhanced overall production rate. This paper first usinganalytic hierarchy process withgraph theory and matrixapproach (AHP-GTMA) method. Finally, the results present comparing four methods (AHP weight-GTMA, no weight-GTMA, AHP-TOPSIS, DEA) to solving the CNC machine selection problem highly corroborate with those as obtained by the Sun's CNC example and Athawale et al machine tool selection. After going through the AHP-GTMA model the best machine tool selection alternative is selected. It is observed that the proposed model can be useful for solving the present machine tool selection problem satisfactorily.
